iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo at a glance

Launched in fall 2026, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max keep an aluminum unibody design with a Ceramic Shield back and a Ceramic Shield 2 front. Their 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch OLED displays reach up to 120Hz with ProMotion, and Apple describes them with a smaller Dynamic Island. They unlock with Face ID and have the Action button, Camera Control and a USB-C port.

The iPhone Duo, introduced by Apple on September 9, 2026, is the first foldable iPhone: a 5.4-inch outer display, a large 7.6-inch inner display that unfolds on a hinge, a titanium enclosure, and Touch ID built into the side button instead of Face ID.

For a repair shop, these new designs change two things: the Duo’s folding display is a repair of its own, and original parts for models released this fall are harder to find.

iPhone Duo repair

Two displays (a 5.4-inch outer one and a 7.6-inch folding inner one), a hinge Apple says is made of more than 100 components, and a Grade 5 titanium enclosure. Apple also put one battery on each side of the fold. A cracked outer screen and a damaged inner screen are neither the same repair nor the same price. Battery swelling or draining after a drop
